President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointments of Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho as Managing Director and Senator Adedayo Adeyeye as Chairman of the Board of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
This was disclosed in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity,Chief Ajuri Ngelale.
Dr. Dantsoho brings a wealth of expertise to his new role, holding a Doctorate in Maritime Technology from Liverpool John Moores University, UK, and a Master’s in International Transport from Cardiff University of Wales, UK. His extensive experience within the NPA includes positions as Assistant General Manager, Technical Assistant to the Managing Director, Port Manager of Onne Port, and Principal Manager of Tariff & Billing.
Senator Adeyeye, the newly appointed Board Chairman, is an accomplished lawyer, journalist, and politician. He has previously served as Minister of State for Works and as Senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District.
President Tinubu expressed his confidence in the new leadership, expecting them to enhance efficiency in port services and improve industry outcomes.
